Decodo is the name under which Smartproxy — founded in 2018 and legally based in Vilnius, Lithuania, operated by UAB "Data troops" — regrouped its proxy and scraping tools in 2025. The rebrand didn't change the product: it's still built for data teams, SEO work and AI training pipelines that need varied IPs to avoid getting blocked, rather than for someone who just wants to hide a personal IP address.
It covers the four common proxy types: residential (115 million+ IPs), datacenter (500,000+, shared or dedicated), mobile and ISP (static residential). City, state, ZIP code and ASN targeting is available for residential and, according to the site, was recently extended to datacenter and ISP too — previously those only reached country level. A documented API supports scraping, with integrations for tools such as Playwright and n8n.
Pricing varies a lot by type and commitment: residential proxies are advertised "from $2/GB", but that figure is the highest-volume tier (1,000GB a month); the smallest entry plan (3GB) costs $3.75/GB, and anyone who'd rather pay only for what they use can buy Wallet credits at $4/GB with no subscription — unused credits expire after twelve months with no refund. A three-day free trial with 100MB is available, after which a paid plan activates automatically unless cancelled first. Datacenter proxies are cheaper, starting at $0.60/GB and falling to as low as $0.02/IP at the highest per-IP volumes.
