Refers to the cheapest paid plan, Starter, billed month to month for 100,000 credits; paying annually brings it down to $24/mo ($290/year). The free tier of 20,000 non-expiring credits is not counted here.
Ipregistry sells IP geolocation data, company and network operator information, and proxy, VPN and Tor detection, mainly via a JSON/XML API plus SDKs for twelve languages with caching and batch lookups. It also offers CSV and MMDB database downloads, rebuilt daily, for local, latency-free lookups. The operating company, Elaunira SARL, is based in Cagnes-sur-Mer (France) and states it launched the service in 2019, now serving over 51,000 customers.
Its commercial model is credit-based per lookup rather than a fixed fee per data tier: the free plan of 20,000 credits never expires and already includes every response field, more generous than the industry norm of trimming fields on free tiers. Ipregistry does not require visible attribution on any plan either, though its terms say a link to the site 'would be highly appreciated'; the data is licensed, not sold, and redistribution of the content is prohibited without written authorisation. As with the rest of the sector, it publishes no accuracy figure or scope (country, region or city): it only speaks of 'fresh and accurate results' and coverage of 'over three million unique locations'. Pricing scales with credit consumption, which climbs fast at high traffic: from 100,000 credits on the entry plan to 2.45 million on the Scale plan ($399/mo), plus non-expiring prepaid credit packs.

Why two sites place your IP in different cities
Of six IP geolocation providers, only one publishes a measured accuracy figure by country. The rest use adjectives. Here is what the data actually says, and what to ask before choosing one.
