Worth knowing upfront: the free tier, IPinfo Lite, only provides country-level geolocation and basic ASN data, with no city detail and no proxy/VPN/Tor detection; commercial use of that tier requires visible attribution to IPinfo, something its own pricing table states explicitly. Residential-proxy detection, carrier data and city-level accuracy radius only arrive with the Max plan, priced well above Core. On accuracy, IPinfo publishes no concrete figure or scope: it simply claims 'the most accurate IP geolocation data in the industry' and displays a G2 badge for '#1 for IP Data Accuracy', without breaking down a percentage by country or city. Its terms explicitly prohibit reselling or redistributing the content without written consent, and pricing scales with monthly query volume via a slider, so the actual bill depends on contracted traffic rather than a flat fee.
