- Money-back window30 days
- Migration included
Price for the entry-level «Stellar» shared hosting plan, after a 30-day free trial, billed annually at $2.28/month (the page's own comparison table equates this to $26.88/year). Namecheap flags it as a promotional price (marked "61% off") valid only for new annual or biennial purchases, not renewals; the renewal price is not shown on the page consulted.
Namecheap is a US company based in Phoenix, Arizona, known mainly as a domain registrar — its own site says it has been "serving customers since 2001" — which also sells shared hosting under the "Stellar" brand. The entry-level Stellar plan hosts up to 3 websites with 20 GB of SSD storage, unmetered bandwidth and 30 mailboxes, aimed at personal blogs or small businesses just starting out.
The $2.28/month price applies to annual billing after a 30-day free trial, with a promotional discount that the site itself states does not apply to renewals, whose price is not shown on the page. It includes free SSL, free site migration, backups twice a week, a cPanel control panel and a "100% uptime guarantee". Money-back is guaranteed for 30 days, though with conditions (it does not apply, for instance, if the customer previously held and cancelled another Namecheap account). The company mentions data centres in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore, plus one "in the EU" without naming the specific country. It also includes its own content delivery network, "Supersonic CDN", which its site lists as included on every Stellar shared hosting plan.
