$30/month is the Single plan billed annually; billed monthly it is $35, with the first month free under the current promotion. That price covers either 35,000 visits or 20GB of server bandwidth, depending on the model chosen, and going over the limit triggers extra charges rather than taking the site down.
Kinsta is a managed hosting provider built exclusively for WordPress, aimed at agencies, stores and mid-to-high-traffic sites that put performance and technical support ahead of price. The whole platform runs in individual containers on Google Cloud Platform, with a choice of 30 data centres across 24 countries — from Ashburn and San Jose in the US to Madrid, Tokyo or São Paulo — so a site can be hosted close to its actual audience. The entry-level Single plan costs $35 a month billed monthly, or $30 a month billed annually, and includes free SSL, a Cloudflare-powered CDN, one-click staging environments, daily backups kept for 14 days, and unlimited free migrations.
One thing worth knowing before signing up: the entry plan is metered either by monthly visits (35,000) or by server bandwidth (20GB), whichever boundary the customer picks, and going over that limit does not take the site offline, but it does trigger an overage charge of $0.50 per extra 1,000 visits, or $0.50 per extra GB on bandwidth-based plans; disk space beyond the plan's allowance is billed separately at $2 per GB per month. Kinsta backs its plans with a 30-day money-back guarantee, but only for first-time customers, and it excludes overage charges and one-time fees; anyone who starts on the free first month only sees that 30-day window begin once the free period ends, not at sign-up. The control panel is Kinsta's own MyKinsta, there is no cPanel, and support runs 24/7 via chat. The contractual uptime guarantee goes up to 99.9%; 99.99% is only available on custom plans.

Why Cheap Hosting Costs More at Renewal
The advertised price covers the first term, and usually means prepaying years upfront; renewal is charged at list price. The figures from several providers, and the three cases that break the pattern.
