Hetzner Online GmbH is a German infrastructure company founded in 1997 and headquartered in Gunzenhausen, selling dedicated servers, cloud instances and, to a lesser extent, shared web hosting. It is not a typical cPanel shared-hosting provider: its web hosting plans run on a proprietary panel called konsoleH, while dedicated servers and cloud instances are managed through its own Hetzner Cloud console or through Robot. It mainly suits developers, businesses and projects that need full control over the machine, rather than someone looking for a conventional cPanel setup.

Its own data centres are in Germany (Falkenstein and Nuremberg) and Finland (Helsinki), with additional locations in the United States (Hillsboro and Ashburn) and, since 2024, in Singapore; shared web hosting, however, runs only out of Nuremberg. Hetzner says its data centres run on 100% renewable electricity and backs that claim with certifications it actually names: an EMAS and ISO 14001 environmental management system, ISO/IEC 27001 for its German and Finnish data centre parks, and BSI C5 certification. No traditional money-back guarantee was found; hourly billing and the lack of a minimum term reduce the risk of trying the service, but there is no guaranteed refund in writing.
