DreamHost is a US web hosting provider based in Brea, California, which its own site says has "been doing this since 1997." Its entry-level shared hosting plan, Web Hosting Launch, allows up to 25 websites with 25 GB of NVMe SSD storage and 20 free mailboxes for 3 months, aimed more at new or simple sites than high-traffic projects. The company also sells managed WordPress hosting (DreamPress), VPS and dedicated servers.
The $2.89/month price is billed annually and covers only the first year; after that, the site itself warns that the plan "auto-renews at $10.99/mo", a difference worth bearing in mind before signing up. It includes free SSL certificates, a free domain for the first year, daily automated backups and a proprietary control panel (not cPanel). DreamHost advertises a "100% uptime guarantee", which it says it maintains through "multiple datacenter locations", without stating how many or in which countries. Money-back is guaranteed for 30 days. Support is advertised as available 24/7 by chat, staffed in-house.
