Where you can't apply

The Ripio Card is issued in Argentina and Brazil, and there is no confirmation of availability in Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia or Spain. Within Argentina there is also a limitation worth knowing before traveling: according to the terms and conditions themselves, international use is not enabled by default and only works if it has been expressly activated on the account.

Ripio Card is a prepaid card co-issued by Digipayments S.A.U. and Pomelo Fintech Services S.A.S. Requesting it requires being an active Ripio user with a validated identity, and declaring both the lawful origin of the funds and whether the applicant is a politically exposed person.

The first issuance carries no charge, although Ripio reserves the right to modify or add fees with prior notice. On purchases in foreign currency, the exchange rate of Banco Nación is applied, multiplied by 1.03.

The cashback percentage in effect in 2026 is not confirmed: the official terms and conditions do not set it, and the press only reports figures from 2022 and 2023 — 3% in USDC in Argentina and 5% in bitcoin at the Brazil launch — which may be outdated.
