CoinJar Card
Crypto cardsThe “up to 2%” in points coexists with a 1% purchase fee that absorbs almost all of that cashback.
Where you can't apply
CoinJar issues its card only for Australia, the United Kingdom and, partially, Ireland, and requires citizenship or permanent residence in one of those countries. For the rest of the world it is not an option. There's also a detail worth looking at before the geography: CoinJar charges 1% on every purchase, so the “up to 2% in points” leaves a very small net benefit.
See the issuer's sourceCoinJar Card is a prepaid card on the Mastercard network. It charges no monthly fee, requires no token staking to access its benefits, and can be added to both Apple Pay and Google Pay for contactless payments.
Its rewards program advertises points worth up to 2% of each purchase. However, that figure coexists with a 1% purchase fee that CoinJar itself charges on every transaction, so the net benefit the user actually receives ends up well below the advertised “up to 2%” headline.
