Bitpanda Card
Crypto cardsThe 1% cashback is only credited if the purchase is paid with crypto-assets, not with euros or other balances.
Where you can't apply
The Bitpanda Card is for residents of the eurozone, plus Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The United Kingdom is expressly excluded, and there is no availability in Latin America or in any market outside Europe. There is also a non-geographic exclusion that still leaves people out: those who verified their Bitpanda account via “Bankident” cannot request the card.
See the issuer's sourceThe Bitpanda Card is issued by Transact Payments Malta Limited, regulated by the MFSA (Malta Financial Services Authority), with no opening or maintenance fee; the first shipment is free and a replacement costs between 5.90 EUR and 10 EUR.
Cashback is a flat 1%, but it is only credited on purchases paid with crypto-assets: payments in euros, stablecoins, metals and stocks are excluded. Some third-party reviews mention up to 2%, a figure that contradicts Bitpanda's own information. ATMs charge 2% or 2 EUR, whichever is greater, and outside the euro, Visa's own margins apply with no additional Bitpanda surcharge.
It remains unresolved whether a virtual version of the card exists: the official page reviewed only describes the physical one.
