This market is not a tokenized share but a perpetual futures contract: an agreement quoted and settled in USDT whose price tracks the share. No one holds a share behind it, and the contract has no expiry date.
Can I trade when the stock market is closed?
Yes. These markets trade 24/7 on Bybit, including weekends and US market holidays, while the stock exchange itself is closed.
Do I own the actual share?
No, and there is no share involved at all. A perpetual futures contract is settled in USDT and only tracks the share price: nothing is held in custody for you, and there are no dividends and no voting rights.
Who can trade tokenized stocks?
Tokenized stocks are open only to eligible verified users, and each exchange decides where it offers them. OKX states that its tokenized stocks "may not be offered or sold to U.S. persons (as defined in Regulation S) or within the United States". Bybit states that its TradFi products are "not available to residents of the European Economic Area".
