BlackBerry no longer makes phones. Since 2022 it has focused on enterprise software, split between cybersecurity—endpoint protection and encrypted communications under its Cylance brand—and automotive technology through BlackBerry QNX, a real-time operating system used across the auto industry, alongside its BlackBerry IVY vehicle-data platform. The Canadian company was founded in 1984.

What are tokenized stocks?

What is a tokenized stock?

It depends on the exchange. Some list a token backed 1:1 by a real share held at a custodian; others list a perpetual futures contract, quoted and settled in USDT, that only tracks the price with no share behind it. Both follow the same share price.

Can I trade when the stock market is closed?

Yes. These markets trade 24/7 on Bybit, including weekends and US market holidays, while the stock exchange itself is closed.

Do I own the actual share?

Not in either case. On the spot markets you hold a token backed by a real share held at a custodian, which gives you no shareholder rights; on the perpetual futures markets there is no share at all — the contract is settled in USDT and only tracks the price.

Who can trade tokenized stocks?

Tokenized stocks are open only to eligible verified users, and each exchange decides where it offers them. Bitget states that its tokenized stocks are "not offered to US Persons". OKX states that its tokenized stocks "may not be offered or sold to U.S. persons (as defined in Regulation S) or within the United States". Bybit states that its TradFi products are "not available to residents of the European Economic Area".
