$5.75/month is the Pro plan billed annually ($69/year); billed monthly it's $9/month, and there's also a 'Build A Plan' option from $1 per location per month (with a $3 minimum). The free plan gives 10GB per month at no cost.
Windscribe is a Canadian VPN, owned by Windscribe Limited and legally based in Toronto, Ontario, best known for its free plan: simply confirming an email address unlocks 10GB of data a month, no card required. It's a genuine way to try the service, but the cap is strict and gets used up quickly with streaming or moderate downloads; for regular use you need to upgrade to the Pro plan, which removes the data limit and unlocks the network's 69+ countries and 135+ cities (the site itself shows slightly different city counts depending on the page — 112 on one, 135 on another).
The Pro plan costs $9/month or $69/year ($5.75/month), and there is also a build-your-own plan starting at $1 per location. Windscribe accepts cryptocurrency payments and offers up to 6 connection protocols — OpenVPN, IKEv2 and WireGuard, plus its own obfuscation modes Stealth and WStunnel — along with split tunneling and a static IP as headline features. Instead of a conventional kill switch, it uses its own firewall that blocks any connection outside the VPN tunnel; the company explicitly markets this as superior to a traditional kill switch. On logging, its privacy policy spells out what it keeps (bytes transferred in a 30-day window and the timestamp of the last connection) and what it doesn't (source IP, sites visited, session history), but it does not publish a named third-party audit of that policy with a date — only a transparency report stating the number of legal requests received. Refunds are available within 7 business days and only if usage has stayed under 10GB.

What it really means when a VPN says it is audited
"Audited" can mean three different things — the no-logs policy, the app's code, or the server infrastructure — and none of them tells you which country's law the company operates under. Nine VPNs from...
