Its no-logs policy has been reviewed by Deloitte in 2023 and 2025, following an initial audit by Cure53 in 2018, the year Surfshark launched; in December 2025, the firm SecuRing also audited its server infrastructure. Surfshark is headquartered in Amsterdam and, according to the company, Dutch law does not require it to retain user data. It's worth knowing that since 2022 Surfshark has belonged to the same corporate group as NordVPN, following its merger with Nord Security, though the two brands and their products continue to operate independently.
